Code Of Conduct
Sailing is a unique sport in the way it is governed and refereed. Sailing is refereed by the other competitors on the water. Typically, there are not on the water judges, umpires or referees. The Juniors need to referee themselves and their team mates. This provides a unique learning environment to learn sportsmanship, and a new degree of freedom.
The Junior Program is unique in that the sailors have more freedom compared to other junior sports. With this freedom comes responsibility to yourself, your Club, and your peers. As part of this responsibility each sailor and their parents will be required to sign a code of conduct agreement. With this agreement you will pledge to conduct yourself in a sportsman like manner, take responsibility for yourself, your equipment and your team mates. When you join the program, we will provide more information on the code of conduct, and look forward to working with all of the Juniors and their parents.
